These guys were assigned to my home warranty to fix my AC. They came out and diagnosed the problem. Lost the paperwork. Had to come out again to diagnose the problem. Nothing happened. Best Heating blamed the home warranty people. Home warranty blamed Best Heating and Cooling. I had to endlessly micromanage both. After about 4 months with weekly calls, they came and installed 2 units on my property (I have one for upstairs and one unit for basement.) Things seemed ok. But by this time it was late September and we no longer needed AC. Come next spring/summer, went to use the AC. The upstairs unit didn't work. The coolant leaked out.Best heating came out and tested the line between the unit and the house, no leaks. They found a leak on their schrader valve, and fixed it. I asked the tech if there was any other leaks and he said "That was it, I've been doing this for years, and I've seen this happen before with this valve, it's very unlikely it's the unit."The coolant leaked again about a month later. I called Best Heating and asked them to come out again and they told me I'd have to file another claim with my home warranty. They would not honor coming out or fixing the issue. Therefore, I had another company come out and diagnose the issue, and sure enough the coil was leaking from the outside AC unit. It was defective after all. I asked them if we could get this fixed under warranty, and they said yes --- if Best Heating submitted my registration on the unit when they installed it --- Of course, they didn't.Now the 2nd AC unit seems like its failing and not cooling while I'm waiting for the first one to get repaired. I'm sure there is a leak there too.To make it even better, I also fixed my furnace with these guys. In the process of doing that, Best Heating drilled a hole into my duct work and took out copper coil for an outside wood burner, which they claimed several times they'd come out and fix and even their own tech told me to "sue them" for failing to do so.I'm in a worse position now than I was before I even made my warranty claim. And with a home warranty, the cost is not covered 100% by the home warranty. I'm out the cash, still no AC, and I have a broken copper coil.If this is what you call "Best"... It's not...Hi from Inkpaduta Ave

We’ve been out of AC in our new home going on 4 weeks now. We are covered under warranty and there’s been ‘disconnect’ between this company and insurance company. We keep being told it will be handled in the next 24 hours, however this is the 4th week with being told that exact statement repeatedly. We are home with our toddler and newborn in 90 degree weather. While trying to get ahold of Best Heating and Cooling they repeatedly put my husband straight to voicemail. When I called on a different number I was able to get directly through to an employee. I don’t recommend using this company if you have other options.**In comment to best heating and cooling response to my first review: we’ve been in contact with our insurance/warranty this whole time. Best heating and cooling never told us our insurance denied our claim that day. Insurance never denied the claim throughout this whole process. Just goes further to show not to use this company.

I have worked with Best for several years. They have provided my spring and fall checkups. Staff is courteous and arrive on time for the appointments. When my 20 year old air conditioner was failing, we discussed the pro and cons of repairing vs. replacing just the air conditioner or both the air conditioner and furnace. They clearly answered my questions and had the installation scheduled in a reasonable time.

Best? I think not. We have been working with this company through our home warranty and it's been an absolute nightmare. There's few good things I can say, so I'll start with them first. This company is about three hours away from our home so I do appreciate them making the trip and the techs have been kind. That's about where the good things I have to say end. From what we have been able to piece together through the bits and pieces we are being told by both the home warranty company and the contractor, the service tech came out initially and diagnosed the issue, and after that promptly proceed to either lose or not turn in our paperwork. After about a month of waiting we called to see what was going on and were told that our ticket had been closed out by the contractor. We assured the home warranty company that nothing had been fixed and that the ticket should still be opened, got in touch with the contractor who gave my husband the run around and assured us they would be getting the paperwork sent in. Paperwork finally gets sent in to the home warranty company (much later than the immediate time frame we were assured), home warranty orders everything and our stuff proceeds to sit at their warehouse for about a month. We call the contractor again, they tell us the scheduling guy is out. We call again and finally get in touch with the scheduler who schedules us for about another month out. They get out here, tell my husband they were told we asked for a payout (odd when they showed up to our house with parts, but whatever) and spend about five minutes in our house before the tech tells us they have the wrong parts and won't be able to do anything and something about the square footage being off. I'll try to keep things short because at this point I feel like you all get the idea. I finally speak to the contractor and get lots of excuses about travel, logistics, how we are so far away, how this was just a favor for the area warranty coordinator, how usually people like us just take a payout (interesting that he mentioned a payout again) etc. I inform the gentleman that although we do live a ways away and I appreciate them coming out, they are the ones who accepted the job, they're being paid for it through the home warranty company, and at this point we have been waiting FOUR MONTHS. We have gone through two heat waves, and now we're getting into the winter season. This house is 120 years old, we have a child, pets, and did I mention we've been waiting four (4) months??? I ask him when they can be out here. I get some story about how he needs to figure out square footage, I again tell him it's been four months and I want a definitive date of when this is going to be done. He finally settles on next week. I feel we have been more than patient, more than understanding, and have been as flexible as possible but the fact of the matter is, they have absolutely not provided the services that we were told would take a couple of weeks and have gotten nothing but the run around and a blame game between the contractor and the warranty company. At this point I really don't care who did what, the fact of the matter is that they accepted this job (whether it was a favor or not, knowing we live three hours away, knowing that logistics were going to be a challenge, and whatever other reasons they deem justifiable) and haven't held up their end of the bargain. We're now worried about the pipes in our house with the weather getting colder, and are worried about just how cold things will get when we have a toddler and pets in the home. This is absolutely and completely unacceptable. I have held my tongue as long as possible, and as long as we get our items installed in working order on the date agreed without issue, I may be willing to update my review. However as of right now, the nicest techs, and the friendliest voice on the phone will do nothing to change the fact that this has been an issue for four months. Logistics, distance, favors, etc. Sound like good reasons when you and your family get to go home to a warm house.

I've been seeing a lot of reviews with customers having home warranties complaining about this company, so I figured I'd give my honest review. I was needing an AC repair done on a very old unit, and have a home warranty. Through my home warranty, I placed a service call to have my AC looked at. Best Heating and Cooling was dispatched to my AC. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company! The ladies who work in the office called me right away, and were super friendly! The technician who came out to my house and diagnosed the unit (I believe his name was James?), was an awesome guy as well! He went the extra mile and helped explain to me how they work through the home warranty process. He ended up recharging my system, and it's been working great so far! For everyone who has complained about the home warranty process, it might be worthwhile to be nice to the people who work for this company. They treated me with the utmost respect, and I must say this is one the best HVAC companies I've ever worked with. Highly recommend them for all of your heating and cooling needs! Will be using them again!

I never leave reviews but I’m livid for wasting money on this company! My home warranty hired this company for an electrical problem I was having in my old home. The guy spent 10 minutes here, didn’t do any diagnostic work or searching to see why my bathroom lights weren’t working. He said I just needed new fixtures (I knew that wasn’t the cause because all my lights in the bathroom quit working, not just one fixture). He left and put in the request. I tried calling the company back to explain they should have done more diagnosing before coming up with that solution. They literally hung up on me when I asked if someone could come back out and actually look. I decided to hire another company to come look less than 24 hour later and guess what?! They actually looked at what was wrong and I need all new electrical and a new fixture would definitely NOT have fixed the issue. This company won’t try to fix your problem and will hang up on you if you question them. Zero stars if possible.

I wish it were possible to give zero or negative ratings. Our home warranty company sent Best Heating and Cooling out to look at our unit. After 4 visits their techs from Best Heating and Cooling still haven't filed paperwork and in the process blew my electrical panel up. Every time I call to get a resolution or answer to what is going on the secretary tells me the owner isn't around or the technician is sick or in the hospital. Over 2 months with no resolution! If my AC wasn't covered under a warranty I would call anyone other than these guys. My father is an HVAC contractor and I have never seen an HVAC company so disorganized in unable to complete a task.
