The house has been covered by Cates since 1973. Always prompt always reliable. The last couple of technicians we have had Dillon and Derek, have been informative and speedy, clear and consistent. Highly recommend.

I had similar experience as others with Hometown "Hustlers" as they are far from heros. Hometown literally turned my furnace off and said they could call fire department on me! And lied about my new water heater having lines backward. Fortunately I called Cates. Greg was there in half an hour, furnace was fine. DO NOT TRUST THE FOLKS FROM HOMETOWN HUSTLERS!

Yesterday, I was told by another company (NOT Cates) that I had a dangerous situation in my home related to a high carbon monoxide reading and cracks in my heat exchangers. They called for back up and a second technician came to do another reading, which also supposedly came back very high. After a lot of drama and scare tactics, they tried to sell me a 14,000 NEW furnace. Instead, I had a second company come out (Cates Heating and Cooling) Fortunately, they were there right away as my house was starting to get pretty chilly due to the former company's scare that I could be endangering my family by keeping my heat on. Within a short period of time, I was told that my carbon monoxide reading in the open air was 1 and within the system, nothing more than 20. They also informed that when this is actually a problem, I have a 20 year warranty on those exchangers. I feel so grateful to the techician and to Derek at Cates for their prompt and honest service and for putting my mind at ease. I highly recommend Cates Heating and Cooling for all of your HVAC needs.

Kyler, the tech who came out today was great! He went above and beyond just the replacement of parts. Not only does my HVAC work like new again but improved my thermostat setting to make my home more comfortable. My thanks too to Paul who came out on a Sunday and to the other tech who not only diagnosed the problem on Monday but helped give Cates' office workers what they needed to get the parts ordered quickly and to get the parts covered under the warranty. Super team job!!!

Our service tech, Jake, was on time, professional and explained everything well. When it came to work that needed to be done he explained why and discussed costs before proceeding. He's a good representative of the company - and he liked our cat. :)

I have used Cates for 20 years. They are dependable, knowledgeable, efficient, and great to work with. They never disappoint. Today.Kylar is doing my fall furnace check. I can add him to the Long list of wonderful technicians that have provided services. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my HVAC needs.

My air conditioner went out during 4th of July weekend and I have animals(and myself) to keep cool. I reached out to Cates and Dillin came over and had everything diagnosed and fixed within 2 hours. They were fair and honest and I couldn't be more pleased. I signed up for a maintenance agreement and look forward to their business.

We’ve used Cates for years now and have always been expressed with the service we have received. We had a warranty issue during Junes heatwave and the part had to come from the factory. As soon as the parts were here we got a call to repair 2 hours later. Dillan was our service technician nice and polite and didn’t leave till we were cooling down. Within 12 hours our 87 degree house was a comfortable 72!Thanks Cates

I could not be happier with Cates! I had an AC emergency and Dillin was fast to respond and fix the problem the same day! He stayed extra late to get the job done and it is so appreciated. He also presented me with all options and even though I chose the most expensive option, I was very happy to know I had alternatives.

Tried to schedule a tune up with these clowns. I got bumped off the schedule due to foul weather at the end of March; tried to reschedule and they are booked until May! I said I'd like to reschedule before then and the lady yelled at me for not calling sooner and said I should have called the day they cancelled my booking. I chose to look for a more reliable company. Be aware!

Can't count the number of years we have relied on Cates, spring and fall, to keep us hot or cold, depending on the season. Cates people are always polite, respectful, calm, have plenty of time to answer questions. In all these years we only had to call once because of an emergency, and someone came right away. Cates is the best.

We had our HVAC installed by Cates during the summer of 2020, and had nothing but a seamless experience. Afterwards, we had our annual tune-ups performed by another local company whom we had used in the past. However, we recently felt that this other company had misled us with the intention to upsell on unnecessary services that were related to the install. We called Cates to validate our concerns and they stood by their work. We’ll now be using Cates for all of our HVAC needs!

We had a LOUD noise in our furnace. Our service representative , Sean, diagnosed a fairly complicated problem within 15 minutes, ordered the parts needed immediately. A problem that had existed for some time was taken care of by a true repair professional in 24 hours. We've been w/ Cates for more than 30 years. This service from them only reinforces our decision to work with people who " get it". You want results, call these guys.

As a professional landlord, they have been TERRIBLE! I hired them to service a commercial property I own. The person came and left without reaching out to me and with only partial repairs. I called numerous times trying to reach him and I was told he would call me and I never got a call back. I gave up and hired another company to finish the work and it took SEVEN months to get an invoice and it was for almost $1000. I NEVER authorized any amounts that high and I was NEVER able to reach anyone. I waited until someone called me, but instead, they sent an attorney threatening me to pay. They lost a potential long-term client and with their lack of organization and communication, I would NEVER recommend, especially if you are an investor.

On July 13 @ 5pm vehicle 53 was heading southbound on Santa Fe Trail Dr. The vehicle had ended up behind my 2 year old son and I as we continue on going the speed limit. The vehicle begins to increase the speed nearly rear ending us . As we approach closer to where the road splits into two lanes. He increases the speed more, quickly passing us & can be see frustrated and all while visibly seen mouthing unclear words to us.I refuse to go pass the speed limit let alone with a 2 year old in the car. This is absolutely unacceptable. If the driver of this van thinks this is acceptable behavior to act like this with a work vehicle, I cannot imagine how this individual would act servicing homes.Please re-evaluate your driver as he clearly lacks certain values your company may stand by.
